Throughout the following pages, you��ll find the recipients of ConventionSouth��s Meeting Professionals To Watch in 2013 recognition, Reader��s Choice Awards for best meeting sites in the South, and Top New or Renovated Meeting Sites award, which includes four cities that we are honoring for redeveloping their core tourism districts. ��� A Meeting Planner to Admire ConventionSouth would like to give special recognition to Meeting Professional To Watch BARBARA FIRESTONE for her dedication, not only to the meetings industry, but the non-profit organization that she represents. Barbara is the manager of conference services for the Arthritis Foundation, based out of Atlanta. Through the events that she plans, Barbara contributes to the mission of this critical foundation, which has funded more than $450 million in research grants since it first began and continues to lead the way in helping people with arthritis live better through new treatments, better access and, ultimately, cures. The foundation aims to reduce the number of people suffering from arthritis-related physical activity limitations by 20 percent by 2030.
