Within each program, I incorporate B2B marketing methodology, social mediaology, practice procure- ment accountability, and implement emergency contingency plan- ning, as well as designing and executing an event to remember. What is one of your biggest challenges and how do you work to overcome this challenge? Considering todayʼs econ- omy, Iʼd have to say my biggest challenge is the overall percep- tion in planning incentive meetings. The remedy is to continue to focus on the positive, keep the award recipients in-mind and go on with the program—meet! Who is your professional role model and why? From an early age, my high school teacher, Sandy Wilson taught me the value in marketing. She also taught me to never quit. If there is a project, (or in my case a meeting) that pres- ents difficulty, first identify the problem, establish steps to overcome the issue, work toward your goal and just make it happen. What is one of the most unique ways that you make your meeting exciting to boost the attendee experience? I have found if you put time, creativity and energy into invita- tions, which is the first impressions the attendee will experi- ence, it helps boost excitement and attendance. I once surprised each award recipient with his/her personalized luggage, matching luggage tags and premiums (personalized shirts, hats, suntan lotion, etc.) relating to the incentive trip as an invite to the program.
