Climbing Visitors who want a different view of Tennessee's lush outdoors can take advantage of trails and opportuni- ties for climb- ing throughout the state. Popular desti- nations include Ijams Crag in Knoxville, Devil's Racetrack in Caryville, Black Mountain near Knoxville, and Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area in Oneida. Chattanooga is home to a number of climbing gyms and guide services for beginners, including High Point Climbing and Fitness, Rocky Top Guides, the Tennessee Bouldering Authority and Urban Rocks Gym. Popular rock-climbing locales in the greater Chattanooga area include Sunset Rock, Foster Falls and Walnut Wall. Groups taking in the natural wonder of Tennessee may even get a glimpse of a black bear or elk. Rock 'n' Soul The Memphis Rock 'n' Soul museum introduces its visitors to the origins of rock 'n' roll and soul music. The museum provides an in-depth view of the music itself and the artists who devel- oped this new genre. From Elvis Presley, the King of Rock 'n' Roll, to B.B. King and Johnny Cash, this museum showcases artifacts that educate on a vari- ety of music. The museum is avail- able for private parties, receptions, seated dinners and corporate func- tions, all hosted in one of America's most fun and fascinating music museums. Belmont Mansion Belmont Mansion is an Italian-styled antebellum mansion that is positioned at the heart of Nashville. The mansion has served multiple purposes since its construction in the 1850s, oper- ating as a summerhouse for social- ites, a Union headquarters during the Civil War, an all-girl college and a seminary. It has been metic- ulously restored and maintained, and features the furnishings, art- work and statuary of the original occupants, the Acklens. Daily tours are available and groups can host special events in the man- sion's magnificent halls. Following a tour, guests are invited to stroll through Belmont's extensive grounds and meticulous gardens, where gazebos and animal statues dot the grounds that once served as the first zoo and public park in Nashville. n 2 0 1 7 / 2 0 1 8 M E E T I N G S I T E S G U I D E ⎜ ConventionSouth ⎜ w w w . c o n v e n t i o n s o u t h . c o m City Map Location Page 1 2 3 Bristol...........................................
