The Uni- versity of Louisville Conference Services offers a variety of meeting and event sites for up to 500 guests, with 12 rooms totaling more than 16,000 square feet plus additional outdoor event areas. Additional Louisville Venues: • Crown Plaza Louisville Airport - 588 guest rooms; 55,000 square feet of event space • Louisville Marriott East - 252 guest rooms; 18,000 square feet of event space • Frazier International History Museum - event spaces include rooftop garden and Fourth Floor Loft with seating for up to 360 guests • The Olmstead - 11,000 square feet of event space; theater-seating capacity for up to 500 • Kentucky Derby Museum - Great Hall can accommodate up to 400 for receptions Northern Kentucky Directly across the Ohio River from downtown Cincinnati, the Northern Kentucky region (NKY), includes Covington, Newport and smaller com- munities. In the past year, the region has expe- rienced the opening of several new hotels with more coming soon, according to Rebecca S. Banks, digital marketing manager for MeetNKY. "The Hotel Covington and Aloft at Newport on the Levee are both open and wonderful additions to our hotel community. In ad- dition, we also have three new properties: a Comfort Suites that opened in Florence in July, a Home 2 Suites opening soon in Florence, and a Holiday Inn & Suites opening soon in Wilder." Located on the riverfront, the 114-room Hotel Covington of- fers 8,000 square feet of indoor space along with outdoor recep- tion areas. Aloft Newport on the Levee, has 144 guest rooms and 6,000 square feet of function space. Many of the riverfront hotels have access to Riverfront Com- mons, a planned 11.5-mile walk- ing, running, and biking trail being constructed in phases. When complete, it will link Northern Kentucky's six river cities to the city of Cincin- nati and local trail systems. Construction is set to being soon on the rede- velopment of part of the 1,000,000-square-foot Northern Kentucky Convention Center, according to MeetNKY. Plans call for a 5,300-square-foot training center to be built from converted ball- room space that will feature a 450-seat amphithe- ater and seminar room. The riverfront convention center includes a 45,000-square-foot exhibit hall, free wi-fi internet access, and can host up to 3,000 attendees.
