Also, the renovation included an overhaul of the resort's south tower lobby bar. For- merly known as Clocktower Lounge, it was renamed McCoys Rum Room and features lounge areas with plush seating, café tables and a large U-shaped bar in a space that has a stage for live entertainment. In October, the resort also added Don Ricos Fresh-Mex Grill to its food and beverage outlets, replacing the former Legends Sports Bar. A redesigned lobby area has a contem- porary look that incorporates soft hues and tones, lush greenery, new tiling and artwork, while the resort's exterior color scheme was updated with water blues and slate gray tones, and a new exterior signage package. Additional updates were made to the re- sort's D-Dawg's Kidzone, an onsite play area offering kid-friendly activities, as well as its Beach Emporium Gift Shop and The Spa at the Hilton. "This is a period of rebirth for our prop- erty, and we're excited to unveil all of the updates we've made as a result of the ren- ovation to locals and visitors alike," said Berkley. "Our hotel has a rich Daytona Beach history, and these latest updates cel- ebrate that, while allowing us to evolve the quintessential oceanfront experience we offer all under one roof." PLANO EVENT CENTER Plano, Texas Upgrades And Name Change At Event Center In June, the Plano Event Center, formerly the Plano Centre, completed a nearly year-long $2.5 million renovation. Updates included new paint throughout the entire interior and exterior of the building, new carpet and fur- niture, as well as renovated restrooms with new marble tiles, flooring, sinks, mirrors, and partitions.
