A renaissance is indeed underway and it has planners and at- tendees intrigued about and excited for their upcoming events, thanks to the transformation of convention centers in the South. As Southern locales embrace their distinct culture and charm, convention centers are being elevated by serving as cultural centers. They are installing innovative technology and adding modern amenities to propel meetings and events to new heights. Gone are the days when "boring" and "business" were synonymous, when convention centers were practical but largely unappealing places to endure rather than meccas for creativity and inspiration. A new age is dawning for events that offer attendees tantalizing experiences that blow the old business meeting model out of the water. Take a look at some of the South's newest and reimagined convention centers that are embracing the rebirth of culture and inspiring state-of-the-art meetings that are anything but ordinary. ► Transformations Are Taking Place At The South's CONVENTION CENTERS By Adrianne Bowen CHARM, CULTURE & COLLABORATION Feature: Convention Centers
