"With our recently ʻlaunchedʼ campaign, ʻWeʼve Got Space,ʼ we plan to increase our offerings to increase groups." The "Twickenham Square" downtown proposal plan was revealed in March and includes retail shops near the Huntsville Hospital complex. And, a new development broke ground in February near Redstone Arsenal, Cum- mings Research Park and Bridge Street Town Centre, which will feature a 78-suite Home2Suites by Hilton and a 97-room Hampton Inn and Suites. Guests will share meeting rooms, the fitness center and the pool. "Other proposed hotels will add another 900 hotel rooms once complete, Winters said. "The Radisson is becoming the DoubleTree after a complete remodel to all 151 rooms, a new SpringHill Suites is underway in the Village of Providence in West Huntsville, and a new 96-room Holiday Inn Express is being welcomed in Madison." ■ ALABAMA ARKANSAS FLORIDA GEORGIA KENTUCKY LOUISIANA MISSISSIPPI NORTH CAROLINA OKLAHOMA SOUTH CAROLINA TENNESSEE TEXAS VIRGINIA WEST VIRGINIA Outdoor events and festivals come alive at Big Spring International Park in down- town Huntsville and along the banks of Big Spring Lake. www.con v entionsouth.com APRIL 2012 ConventionSouth 43 P hotoscourtesyofHu nts vile/M a d si o n C o C V B yt u n
