With recent investments totaling nearly a billion dollars, the city has undergone a transformation that makes it a perfect convention destination. Down- town Tulsa is a destination on its own, and when itʼs paired with the surrounding com- munities, the entire area becomes a perfect option for meetings of virtually any size. Ray Hoyt, senior vice president of VisitTulsa and the Tulsa Sports Commission, explained, "Tulsa is a growing metropolis with premier facilities ranging from the award-winning BOK Center to the equine and agricultural destination, Expo Square. Plus, Tulsa is convenient for all travelers. The metro area is easily accessible by multi- ple highways and interstates and centrally located in the U.S. Tulsa International Airport boasts daily flights on five airlines with direct flights traveling across the nation." The renovated Tulsa Convention Center, located in the heart of downtown Tulsa, is close to attractions, nightlife and a broad range of dining choices. Along with the 30,000-square-foot ballroom, the centerʼs exhibit hall contains 102,000 square feet of space and the Tulsa Project Theatre seats 1,000.
