A recent report from the Jackson CVB estimates that in 2011, just over three million people visited the cityʼs tourist attractions, festivals, and conventions. "Jackson is a rare find for savvy meeting planners," said Marika Cackett, CVB director of marketing and public relations. "Our destination value is our No. 1 selling point. Jackson is a ʻtrue southʼ city thatʼs just the right size. Your event will take center stage while your attendees enjoy our rich, local culture." Add to that Jacksonʼs venues, such as the Jackson Convention Complex that offers many options behind a sparkling glass exterior. Planners will find the 90,000-square-foot convention center, a 382-seat theater, a full catering kitchen and all the latest audio/visual technology. "Our center is a state-of-the-art facility, thatʼs LEED certified, with a team of professionals who can assist in making a memorial event from start to finish," said Micah Allen, director of sales and marketing.
