Uplighting can change the look of a plain room and make it look vibrant or sophisticated or both. Light fixtures sit in "pots" and are placed on the ground facing a wall, column, or any other element of the room you would like to illuminate. Colors are then set to the appropriate look and feel that you would like to enhance the room to. Lighting can often be set to a single color, alter- nating colors or sound-activated colors that change with music. Use LED lighting fixtures. LEDs project a bright beam of light but remain cool to the touch, especially when they are rest- ing on the floor and can be accessed by children. ■ Image Example Shared By Hampton Roads Convention Center in Hampton, Va.
