The restaurant opened in 2012 after renovations to a historic home in downtown Winston-Salem, now preserving one of the last remaining homes on what was commonly called "Winston-Salem's Millionaire's Row." The city has a variety of eclectic chef-owned restaurants. At The Tavern in Old Salem, diners enjoy dishes made of local ingredients, many of which are grown in Old Salem's gar- dens. Old Salem Museums and Gar- dens, founded in 1766 by the Moravians, is a living history town where visitors may interact with costumed interpreters, cook by the hearth and learn the trades and activities of 18 th and 19 th century Moravians. Located in the Downtown Arts District, Piedmont Craftsmen Gallery represents more than 350 fine craft artists from all across the United States. The works include fine handmade garments, jewelry, one-of-a- kind functional housewares and decorative objects. ■ Spring House via Facebook SHOP & EAT Winston- Salem Style 27-52 CS FEB 2014_Layout 1 1/31/14 5:10 PM Page 34
