More than 15 different event rooms are included in the 150,000 square feet of event space and the facility can host up to 10,000 participants for large extravaganzas, according to Natalee Anderson, director of private events and tours. Among the special features offered at the venue is the largest LED video display at any professional sports facility, a 360-degree halo display that was installed above the field as part of the stadium's retractable roof structure. Together with additional LED displays, the facility offers more than 82,500 square feet of video display that can show statistics, graph- ics, animation, sponsor messages and other information. Designed to be energy efficient, the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium is on target to receive the highest in LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standards, according to Anderson. Along with 4,000 solar panels, the venue has electric car charging stations, on-site edible landscaping, a cistern for water recap- ture and a large cooling tower.
