As for meeting facilities, the Durham Convention Center Complex includes the Durham Convention Center and plaza, the Durham Armory, the Durham Arts Council, and the Carolina Theatre. Together, these venues provide 74,698 square feet of meeting space. "We really believe that Durham has the largest convention floor in America – the whole city is ready to host your event," said April Ellerbe, director of sales for the Durham CVB. "Our creative, diverse community is bustling and growing, with new restaurants and partners open- ing their doors every month. Durham's newest event space is Durham Fruit & Produce Co., a renovated historic warehouse complex that offers 22,000 square feet of meeting and event space. Another event space that recently opened is Pine & Poplar, a downtown venue that can accommodate up to 125 people. The 74-room Unscripted Durham opened in July with five food and beverage outlets, a spa- cious rooftop pool deck and a lounge. In addition to Durham's largest primary meeting venues, a number of smaller properties of various sorts offer additional elegant spaces, including 21C Museum Hotel, The King's Daughters Inn and The Durham Hotel.
